Coming from the small town of Eagle Pass, Texas, Michael Tobias has found a way to pursue his “dream job” in Ottawa. His goal is to become a pro by playing competitive “Call of Duty,” and he is taking big steps toward accomplishing that at Ottawa University.
Men’s Volleyball Doing the Unexpected
Coach Luke Pope decided to part ways after two and a half years with the Ottawa Men’s Volleyball program. Now the team has a new coach, Melissa Blessington … who is also the women's volleyball coach.
“I think the biggest change for us is adapting to this revised coaching style that is being provided to us, as it was a very quick and sudden change,” says libero/defensive specialist Kevin Davidson.

In Winter, We Wrestle
While the majority of Ottawa students over winter break returned home to presents and home-cooked meals, some student athletes stayed behind to pump iron, condition and compete. The Women’s Wrestling team spent winter break competing in three tournaments, facing off against over 10 different colleges and making program history.
