There’s ‘nothing’ to do in Ottawa

Every year, hundreds of students enroll and are accepted to Ottawa University. Some are local to Kansas. However, many are from other states and some even from other countries. This can make finding things to do in Ottawa a bit of a challenge, especially considering Ottawa’s much smaller size. This leads many students to conclude that there is “nothing to do in Ottawa!”

The Philadelphia Phillies haven’t touched the playoffs since 2011, over a decade ago. And at the start of their season, it seemed like that pattern was going to continue. In May alone, the team’s win to loss ratio was 4:12. And yet here they are, in the World Series after dominating the National League Playoffs.

For some colleges students and young adults, voting is a difficult and daunting task. For others, it is a moment they have been waiting for. Either way voting is an incredibly significant civic duty and a privilege. A democracy cannot work without participation in elections
